Is My 4 Year Old a 2 Year Old Again?

Gabriel had quite a day yesterday. When I came downstairs yesterday morning he was standing by the table with white stuff all over his hands with a YUCK look all over his face. Beside him on the table was the can of Pledge. So I took him to the bathroom to wash him up and explain to him what that Yuck stuff was. :c) He decided he wasn't dusty and so he didn't need that stuff. lol
Later in the day, I was on the computer, he came over to me and said, "I'm sorry for what I did". When one of your kids says that, you know they did something pretty bad for them to fess up! I swing around in my chair thinking something is broke or worse to find that he had squeezed Elmer's school glue all over the table and the bottle. It wasn't the worst thing that could happen, but still a mess! I guess he thought it was a whole lot of fun at the time but afterward realized it probably wasn't the best idea. I am so proud of him for telling me and not lying! He has been into lying lately, his answer to us when we ask how something happened is usually, "I don't remember." So again I explained to him why we don't play with the glue and hopefully it won't happen again! :c) But I still had to ask him if he was a 4 year old or a 2 year old today. He giggled and said, 4!!!!
Later in the day, this doesn't go with being a 2 year old, he came into the front room with a guilty grin on his face. I asked where he had been, he said I don't know. I told him that was lying and so he said the closet. I asked what he was doing in the closet and he said I don't know. Again I said that is lying and so he told me he was praying! Not sure if that is the truth, I would like to think it is and that he wasn't up to no good in there! (The picture is from when he was 2)

Easter Pictures and misc. pics

I have only 2 pictures from Easter, I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't get a great picture of Tara on her first Easter. Oh well!
Here is what I have:

Here are some other pictures from April that I think are cute...

Tara fell asleep holding her toy

Chatting with her dog, or teaching it how to pant :c)

Gaber with his animals, he brings them down every morning.

My new hair cut

I got my haircut yesterday, which isn't always the easiest thing to do over here. My stylist didn't speak the best English so I just hoped she understood. I did find a picture but it doesn't really look like the picture, oh well! ;c) Jeff likes it, so I'm happy!

4 Month Well Baby

Tara had her check up today, it all went well even with waking her up early from her nap to get there on time. I hate waking her up when she still needs more sleep! She was in a great mood until the doctor came in. He is a wonderful doctor, I really like him, but Tara didn't! I guess she already has stranger anxiety which he said usually doesn't start until 6 months. He was impressed with how she noticed him and kept her eyes on him. I tried turning her around, you know the Out of Sight Out of Mind trick, but that didn't work. She just turned her little head around to keep an eye on him! Poor doc! I felt kinda bad for him but I know he understands! So she looks healthy. She weighed in at 14 pounds and 12 ounces, she gained a few ounces since her WICO appt. She was 24 1/2 inches long which is a little shorter than what she was measured at her WICO appt, so someone measured wrong!!! Tara also had to get some shots, poor girl! I hate giving my kids shots but I'm just to scared not to give the shots to them when we travel so much and are living overseas. Over here we do hear about people have measles and mumps and all that stuff you don't see in the states. So I just pray that God will keep my little girl safe! Right now she is napping in her crib with a dose of Tylenol in her helping with the leg aches she probably has. I hope she gets a good nap in so that she feels good tonight.

Getting Big

Today has been a busy day. This morning I had to take Josiah to school at Maranatha for some standardized tests, today is the last day. He has had so much fun going back to school there, I'm excited about him returning for 2nd grade. I had to pick him up at 10:45, came back home to nurse Tara, left after nursing to take the kids out to lunch, next ran to the clinic to pick up my lab tests, last we went to our WICO appointment. Josiah and Gaber love going b/c of the toys there, which is a big help to me, except they never want to leave. :c) Gaber is now 40.75 pounds and 41.50 inches high! I can't believe he weighs so much now! Tara is 14 pounds and 9.5 ounces and 24.75 inches long!!! She is about double her birth weight!! I was glad to see that she has put on weight since she has been spitting up so much, I was worried she wasn't keeping enough down to gain anything but I guess I was wrong...she put on 2 pounds since her 2 mo well baby check-up. Lastly, me, I was happy to see I've lost 6 pounds since my last WICO appointment in January! YaY! So I'm the only one not getting bigger, thank God!
After our appointment we came home and did some school and now the boys are outside playing with their new transformer toys they got from lolo and lola for Easter which they love!
So its been a good day, glad its Friday and that its almost Saturday!

Josiah's 7th Birthday!

I forgot to post about Josiah's birthday last month so I thought I should do that! Josiah is now 7 years old! I can't believe that he is already that old, that I had him that long ago! It really does go fast! We've lived in so many different places with him and done so many things. He is such a good boy, a great helper to mommy and a wonderful big brother! I am so happy to have him in my life! Here are some pictures of him from over the past years. I think they are going from most recent to when he was a baby, I don't know why it loaded them like that! Enjoy! ( Don't know why this is underlined, can't find where to unclick that option! Oh well!)

She's rolling!

You can probably guess who I'm talking about! Tara rolled her first time on Friday. Of course I missed it! Jeff was sitting by her on the couch when she rolled. He didn't get to see it either, he looked down and she was on her belly watching Josiah and Gaber. :c) Such a cutie! On Saturday I was emailing my sister in law and she rolled on the floor beside me twice! This morning, Sunday, I went in to get her from her crib and she was on her belly! :c) I think she has forgotten how to roll back to her back though, she could roll to her back since she was a newborn and now she can't figure it out so I have to help her roll back over when she gets tired of the belly. I can't believe she is already rolling! It is so much fun watching her do all her firsts and I am just so thankful for all these events! I can't wait to see her crawl and sit up by herself but I am trying to be happy and content with what she is doing right now. Our Sunday school teacher, Brother Bob, said people are always wanting and wishing for the next new thing...they end up wishing their lives away. I don't want to be like that!!!
Nothing else new going on besides that, oh wait, she can do the motor boat thing too! :c) That is it though for Tara. Josiah is doing great in 1st grade, I can't wait for this year to be over with though. It has been a trying year homeschooling him. It is not his fault though, it is all me! If we do ever homeschool again I will try a new curriculem or just teach myself...not do the videos!
Gabriel is doing well also. He is caught up in the middle of me homeschooling and a baby sister but he is doing well and sometimes a help to me! I try not to forget about spending time with him each day. I think next year will be a lot better for us all when him and Josiah are in school. I guess we'll see though. :c)

Okuma

Since we didn't get to go back to the states we took a short vacation to Okuma, a military resort here on Okinawa. We went up there Monday and came back on Wednesday. It rained on the way up there and so we were nervous that our whole trip would be washed out but it ended up being nice most of the time. We were able to take the kids mini golfing and they also got to run and play in a maze. We also had a campfire on Monday night, which it was Tara's first one. We didn't make it to the beach b/c it was a little too chilly and windy but we will have plenty of time for the beaches this summer. Here are a few pictures from our vacation.
Quick question, how do I get a picture behind my blog title? When I try it ends up being way to big. I clicked the option, shrink to fit, but it still didn't work.
